Question 1

What is Wedding Bounty?

Accepted Answer

A wedding planner who gets your vendor quotes. Her name is Belle. You do not go find vendors and retype the same message into a dozen forms. You tell Belle about your wedding once, she emails the vendors who fit, and she brings their real replies and prices back to you. Vendors also see your request on our board of open requests and can answer it there. Free to start.

Question 2

How does it work?

Accepted Answer

Three steps. First you tell Belle what you need: your date, your venue or city, what you can spend, and which vendors you still need. Then Belle picks vendors who fit, emails them for you, and follows up with the slow ones. Your request also goes on the board, where vendors can pitch it. Last, the real quotes come back to you in one place, and you choose who to talk to. Vendor replies come through Belle, not straight to your inbox.

Question 3

What does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Free to start, 5 vendor matches a month. Planner Pass $149 one-time, One Category $49. A match is a vendor Belle emails for you. Each plan is paid once, never a subscription. The planning tools come with every plan: the seating chart, the budget planner, your wedding website, your to-do list, and the shared pages you plan on with the vendors you book.

Question 4

What kinds of vendors are on here?

Accepted Answer

24 kinds, which is most of what a wedding takes: Photographer, Videographer, Florist, DJ, Band, Caterer, Wedding Planner, Day-of Coordinator, Officiant, Venue, Hair & Makeup, Cakes, Desserts & Small Bites, Stationery, Calligraphy, Signage, Rental Company, Lighting Designer, Photo Booth, Transportation, Bartender, Event Decor, Tent & Structure, AV / Sound. Tick as many as you still need on the one bounty. Each one can have its own budget, so the photographer and the florist are not quoted against the same number.

Question 5

How do I know a vendor is legit?

Accepted Answer

Every vendor here builds their own profile: photos, the work they do, their packages and prices, and the area they cover. Some pages were put up from public business info before the vendor ever joined. Those are waiting for the business to claim them. Here is what we do not do. We do not check anybody. We do not check licenses, insurance, or bonds. We run no background checks. There are no reviews yet. So read a profile as what a vendor says about themselves. Ask for proof of insurance and references. Get a written contract before any deposit leaves your hands. You can also tag a bounty "Must be insured" so vendors know your rule before they pitch.

Question 6

Can I post more than one bounty?

Accepted Answer

One live bounty at a time. It is built to be the only one you need. A single bounty can ask for every vendor you are still missing, each with its own budget. Needing a florist two weeks later is an edit, not a second post. A bounty comes down after 30 days, and you can put up a fresh one once it has.

Question 7

What do I need to post a bounty?

Accepted Answer

Four things are required. Your wedding date. Where it is. What you can spend. And at least one kind of vendor. The rest is up to you, but each one makes the pitches better, because a vendor pricing your day is guessing without it. Add your venue and what kind it is. Your guest count. How many hours you need. The style you want. Rules like bilingual or travel OK. And any notes you want vendors to read. About three minutes, honestly counted.

Question 8

How do I talk to vendors?

Accepted Answer

Through the site. A pitch lands in your inbox and your reply goes back the same way. The whole talk sits with the bounty it belongs to, instead of spread across your email. One thing never to send: card numbers, bank details, or a photo of your ID. No vendor here needs any of those in a message. Asking you for them breaks our rules.

Question 9

Can I change or take down my bounty?

Accepted Answer

Yes, change it whenever you like. Open your dashboard and hit Edit Bounty. Move the date, the budget, the vendors, any of it. The board updates right away. Taking it down early is not a button yet, so email hello@weddingbounty.com and we will pull it for you. Left alone, it comes down by itself after 30 days. We email you before it does.

Question 10

Do vendors see my personal information?

Accepted Answer

Only the wedding details. When Belle writes to a vendor she shares your date, city, venue, budget and style, and your first name if you used Contact vendor. Never your email or phone. Vendor replies come back through Belle, and your name, email and phone go to a vendor only when you approve their reply, or when you ticked the box letting Belle share your contact with vendors who reply. On the board, a vendor reads what the wedding needs and pitches it without learning who you are. In message threads on the site, phone numbers and emails stay hidden until a booking is paid. Section 3.4 of the Privacy Policy covers the rest.

Question 11

How do I sign up as a vendor?

Accepted Answer

Make an account and pick Vendor when we ask which side you are on. We walk you through the rest: your business, the work you do, your prices, the area you cover, and your photos. If your business already has a page here that you did not build, do not start a second one. We put that page up from public info and it is waiting for you. Use the Claim link on that page, or write to hello@weddingbounty.com from an email at the business and we will hand it over. If you would rather it came down, write to us and we remove it.

Question 12

What does it cost a vendor?

Accepted Answer

Your listing is free. Your first lead is free while we launch. After that, leads use credits (Starter pack $49 for 3). Credits never expire and never buy rank, so nobody can pay their way above you. The first 50 vendors get the Founding Vendor badge, permanently.

Question 13

What is the 90 day matching guarantee?

Accepted Answer

Join as a Founding Vendor, and if your first 90 days go by without one matching bounty, your leads use no credits until one shows up. All we ask is that you pitch the bounties we match you with. We rank every live bounty against your profile, and those are the ones to go after. This site works by vendors reaching out to couples, not by waiting to be picked. Let your matches sit for 90 days without pitching and you cannot claim it. It is there for the vendor who pitches what fits and still comes up empty. There is nothing to claim and no form to fill in. We hold the date you joined, the bounties we matched to you, and the pitches you sent, and we apply it.

Question 14

What counts as a matching bounty?

Accepted Answer

A couple who posts a bounty that fits what you do, for a wedding in the area you cover. That is the whole test. Not a booking. Not a proposal. Not a reply. Just the bounty reaching you, and it counts whether or not you pitched it. That last part goes both ways. You cannot ignore a bounty we matched to you and then tell us nothing came in. And you cannot claim the guarantee while we are showing you matches and none are getting pitched. Couples here post expecting to be approached. The guarantee is for the vendor who goes after what fits and still ends up with nothing, not the one who never opened the board. You also need a profile we can match against. The work you do and the area you cover are what put a bounty in front of you. A page that is hidden, unfinished, or set to work you do not actually do is one we cannot match, and we will say so rather than treat it as covered.

Question 15

How do I pitch on a bounty?

Accepted Answer

Open the board. Every bounty shows the date, the place, the budget, and what is still open. You can tell in one line whether it is yours. Pitch the ones that are. One pitch per bounty. That keeps the board short for the couple, and it is why the one you send gets read. Name their date, your prices, and give one link.

Question 16

What area does Wedding Bounty cover?

Accepted Answer

Houston and the towns around it. That is where the couples are, so that is where the work is. A couple can also mark a bounty local only, which asks for vendors within 50 miles of the wedding. It is a note, not a wall. We tell you before you start writing, and you can still pitch if the drive is fine with you.

Question 17

Can I put up a portfolio?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it is the part of a profile couples actually read. You get photos sorted by the kind of work, up to 6 kinds of work, packages with what is in them and what they cost, a price range, and the area you cover. We use those last three to match you. So honest prices are not modesty. They put you in front of the couples who can afford you instead of the ones who cannot.

Question 18

What does it cost a venue?

Accepted Answer

Nothing. The private planning page, the preferred-partner list, and the bounties your couples post are free for the venue. Couples you send start free, with 5 vendor matches a month. Embed our planning tools and you earn a 20% referral share under a written partner agreement.

Question 19

Can a vendor buy a place on my list?

Accepted Answer

No. You name the vendors. You take them off. We do not sell a spot, a boost, or a featured row. A bounty still goes to every matching vendor in the category and area. Preferred partners are marked, not given exclusive access.

Question 20

How do I get a venue page?

Accepted Answer

Write to hello@weddingbounty.com with the venue name and the address we should reply to. We send a private invite. There is no public claim button, on purpose: that link is a password.

Question 21

How is this different from other wedding sites?

Accepted Answer

Most of them are lists. You search, you pick a few, you write the same message twelve times, and then you wait. We flip that. You describe the wedding to Belle once, she writes to the vendors who fit, and their real quotes come back to you. The vendors who answer already know your date and your budget. The second difference is how we rank them. Every match gets a score out of 100. The kind of vendor you asked for (30 points). Whether their price fits your budget (20). How close they are (20). Your style (15). Any extras you named (15). Nobody can buy a spot in that score.

Question 22

How do I get help?

Accepted Answer

Email hello@weddingbounty.com and a person answers. Usually the same day, and within two work days at the outside. If you are signed in, there is a Contact Support form in the account menu. It saves you retyping who you are and sends the reply back to your account. The contact page shows what to put in a first message for the four things people ask about most. That is the difference between one reply and three.

Question 23

Is Wedding Bounty available outside Houston?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. The board, the map, and the vendor list are all built around Houston. Opening a second city too early would hand those couples an empty board, which is worse than "not yet". More cities are coming. If you are planning a wedding somewhere else, tell us where. That is how we pick the next one.

Question 24

Who runs Wedding Bounty?

Accepted Answer

Wedding Bounty is a trade name of NGO Photography LLC, a Texas company based in Houston. We are small enough that the people who build it read the mail. That is the good news, and it is also why a clear first message to hello@weddingbounty.com gets a faster answer than a vague one.
